The aims of the research are to describe the planning (design here model) and the basic concepts and systematic of the taruna model of character strengthening in education at SMKN 13 Malang.This Research used a qualitative approach.Technique of Data Collection are based on the means of observation and in-depth interviews.Triangulation of data is done by triangulation of techniques and triangulation of data sources.
Data analysis carried out by data reduction, data presentation and verification.The results showed that (1) the taruna model of character strengthening in education at SMKN 13 Malang had gone through a fairly long and good planning process before the implementation, the stages of the research are included needs analysis, formulation of goals, determining evaluation techniques, choosing strategies or methods, identification of support systems, developing, implementing the program and finally evaluating the program.This stage is in accordance with the ADDIE model development rules.This taruna model is a character education model adapted from typical military character education from schools in collaboration with the Malang Naval Base in educating the character of students.
(2) The taruna model systematic consists of: taruna orientation, inauguration, organization, program implementation and taruna evaluation.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan (model desain) dan konsep dasar serta sintak model taruna dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter di SMKN 13 Malang.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi.
Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) model taruna dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter di SMKN 13 Malang 2006 nissan altima radio telah melalui proses perencanaan cukup panjang dan baik sebelum diimplementasikan, tahapannya antara lain analisis kebutuhan, perumusan tujuan, menentukan teknik evaluasi, memilih strategi atau metode, identifikasi sistem pendukung, mengembangkan program, implementasi program dan terakhir evaluasi.Tahapan ini sesuai kaidah pengembangan model ADDIE.Model taruna ini merupakan model pendidikan karakter yang diadaptasi dari pendidikan karakter khas kemiliteran yang dilakukan dengan cara sekolah bekerjasama dengan Pangkalan TNI Angkatan Laut Malang dalam mendidik karakter peserta didik.
(2) Sintaks model taruna terdiri dari: orientasi taruna, pelantikan taruna, pengorganisasian taruna, pelaksanaan program ketarunaan dan evaluasi taruna.
